This change in the value lays the basis for making the transaction in the forex market. Let us make it more clear with an example. Suppose there are two currencies, X and Y and further let us assume that one 'X' is equal to two 'Y'.
In this situation, if you buy the currency 'X' in order to exchange it with 'Y' then you make profit when the value of currency X increases in terms of currency Y. That means you can buy more than two 'Y' with one 'X'.
